I grew up in Long Island, New York and went to college at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Stony Brook where I majored in Biology and graduated with honors in 1997. I graduated from New York University College of Dentistry in the top 10 percent of the class in 2002. Next, I enrolled in the dual degree Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, Northshore Medical Center and the Northport VA Medical Center. During this period, I graduated from SUNY Stony Brook Medical School in 2005 with an MD degree and completed a rigorous internship in General Surgery at LIJ/NS/VA. Finally, I completed my Oral and Maxillofacial Surgical training at LIJ/NS/VA in 2008 having served as Chief Resident in my final year.
Since finishing Dental, Medical, Anesthesia, and Surgical training, I have been on active duty with the US Air Force and have served assignments in Japan, England and now at Travis Air Base in California where I concentrate mostly on teaching residents.
